Steelcom Electronics was established in 1974. Current ownership & management has been in the hands of Murray MacFadyen and Julie Gordon since 1995. From well appointed Port Road premises, qualified engineers service all makes and models of marine electronic equipment including Radars, SSBs, VHFs, Autopilots, GPS and Depth Sounders. To keep sailors in contact with each other and the world, Steelcom has developed and set up Pactor HF email systems for a wide range of equipment, old and new. Steelcom’s engineers also have the equipment and experience to deal with corrosion issues, including electrolysis testing for zinc protection, AC/DC grounding and leakage. Steelcom agencies include Furuno, Lowrance, Icom, GME, Magellan, Uniden, Tait, Kenwood and Garmin.
